Went out early for small critters.
The Damselflies and Dragonflies were not yet able to fly because they were still too cold and wet.
A great opportunity for a close up photo with dew drops.

This Checkerboard Fly was blowing bubbles at ease.
They don't blow bubbles for nothing, because that's how they digest their food because they can't chew.

Springtails are tiny creatures, often no bigger than 2mm.
There are many different types, spherical or elongated, but in my garden I only found the spherical ones so far. Sometimes they are translucent, sometimes striped and sometimes a bit blotchy.
