Good evening,

here is a small ( 4mm )Guatemalteque ant, on the back of the body, just under the "horns", you can see a brown "hole", it is a "stigma", an orifice through which the ant breathes.
In the second picture, you can see a close-up of this stigma.

I have only read about such things before but never seen it in a photograph or otherwise, fantastic job!! That is some cool armour that ant has, looks dinosaur-like, very cool. Awesome extreme macro examples. I've been wanting to ask you if you do slabbing and with an image count of 516 I would have to think yes? Amazing photos, well done
