I went for a walk in the park behind my house after an overnight rain.
I shot this buttercup handheld with an on-camera speedlight with the plastic diffuser that came with it.

D500, Sigma 105mm Macro. f/20, 1/250, ISO-400
Post-processing in Lighroom and NIK.

Do you have a copy with colours ? I guess the an other picture, is great too.

Not one that I'm happy with. I switched to monochrome pretty early in the post-processing sequence because I couldn't get the color to come out the way I wanted.

Alright , so you took the picture on mono mode on the camera ?

No, the original photo was color, but it's not very exciting. I'm not on the computer that has those files right now - my daughter is using it for schoolwork.

love the picture..though as a personal preference for this picture i would have liked some more negative space.

i like the monochrome better....but a matter of personal choice again.....kindly share basic exif with each photo..it will help us learn

Sorry, I'm usually pretty good at remembering to do that. I also prefer the monochrome, but Jack wanted to see it prior to all the processing.

I'll edit the original image with EXIF.
