I tried to get a photo with the wings open but it refused to work with me. After half an hour trying and keeping up with it i settled for a closed wing photo. No idea what butterfly or moth it is.
Sony a7rii + Samyang 100mm f/2.8 macro lens. ISO400, 1/500 sec, f/11

Nice TMG1961, to me it looks like a skipper butterfly, which are often confused with moths.

Hi TMG1961, I took some photos of them last year and I agree to Andy Smith that it's a skipper.

Neighbour 4 doors down the road also told me it is a skipper in English. In Dutch they are called dikkopje which translates as thick head

I think it's a Essex Skipper / Thymelicus lineola (Zwartsprietdikkopje in Dutch ;-) )
