I like the transition in the background and the exposure to me looks fine..

It's quite possible @Bill Edwards , I don't like the body and the head of the insect, I think I'll put it at the next challenge, I'll take the retouch later, I was too hard on it.

For me, it works better @Christophe Berche Although I prefer the background of the original as I think it complements the subject.
