Looks tasty but the composition doesn't work for me somehow. Not sure why... Maybe becuase of the DOF or the cropping.

Maybe the angle? Now that I look at the picture better I would have moved the camera a little lower.
Mhh... yes. I think so. And I would not crop the image. I would try a picture with the complete cookie glass instead of the cutted version.
But you should test it... not sure if this would improve the image quality.
