So I found another dead dragonfly in the house a few days ago, so I packed it away in a Tupperware dish in the fridge until I had time to experiment (not like a Frankenstein experiment by the way - just a photo experiment) and this is what I came up with, using my trust old twig as a prop and my computer desk which has a glass sheet over a black surface.
Canon R5, LAOWA 100mm F2.8 Macro 2X, table lamp & cheap flash diffuser, 1/15th, f/18.0, ISO 6400, processed using ON1 No Noise, ACR & photoshop.
Would love to hear your thoughts & critique. thanks. 231021_R5_044_2048.jpg

I like the image, specially the reflection. See you also use the Laowa 100mm f/2.58 2x macro lens. I use it on my Sony a7rii. Great lens and very affordable.

No critique from my side as the picture looks perfect. Absolute clear and pin-sharp details and pleasant setup. A pity that a dead dragonfly lost its colors after some time. Found one here in our office and forgot to take it with me. The next day it was already bleached from the sun.

Thanks Helix, yes they soon deteriorate. I find them often but most are already covered in mites, dust and have past the point where I would like to photograph them. They keep a few days in the fridge though if I can find them shortly after they have died.
