Your opinion? fish egg slime molds (Tubifera ferruginosa)

Hi there,

this funny slime molds are called fish egg slime molds because it looks like this.
The whole composition looks a bit like a fish with an open mouth but this was just by chance.

What an interesting mold. They do like salmon eggs. I used to catch my own salmon and harvest the eggs. Very much the same color. The whole composition is so suitable for Halloween, kind of spooky with that open dark cave of a mouth there. LOL Nice shot and great lighting on those molds.

Yes, I guess that this was the reason for the name. I would add a spooky red light to the mouth for Halloween!
