Goatsbeard Cathedral

This is a focused stacked macro of a western salsify seed head. It looks like a giant dandelion with a head ~10 cm. in diameter. This was taken in my studio in a light box with a Canon 5d Mk4 camera, a Canon 180 mm f3.5L macro lens, and a Helicon FB tube. With settings: f/7.1, ISO 100, 57 photos in stack.

Hello Seth Seth

Thanks for sharing the photo. That's perfect stacked photo to be honest. And really sharp as well.

Hello Seth
You've taken an absolutely superb photo. No stacking artifacts despite the complexity of the pattern and the intertwining of the different elements. Perfect sharpness, beautiful colors and impeccable composition. An image I would have loved to have made myself. Well done!
By the way, I never had good results with the FB tube...
