Bart the belgian Without the exif details it is difficult.
There is limited dof but the focus seems to be on the eye which is great. The colours are well saturated the contrast and shadow areas I think are OK.
I would prefer either a closer crop to isolate the head or a wider pov to include the rest of the subject.

I agree to @Bill Edwards. It would be better if you wouldn't crop the picture like this because you cut the wings and the antennaes of the hornet. But it's nevertheless a great picture with a very good focus.

If I was I, I would have the subject in full frame, as here looks like you took the picture to close.

Hello Bart the belgian , I'm not professional, but you might want to use stacking techinque so you can have the all subject in focus.
