That is a good quastion, how to take and edit the most beautiful black and white pictures? especially macro?

I think contrast between highlights and shadows is what makes a good black and white photo... I haven't shot much black and white macro photography but I have shot black and white for my portrait and landscape images.

Just use Monochrome function on your camera, then you edit photo on Lightroom. Also you can add some presets from Lightroom too

Lightroom has great oportunites to create beautiful BW pictures, same Camera Raw and Photoshop..
and of course in cameras can find too nice BW functions . In my camera is a lot of..
First image is wonderful. You always can use any soft presets to achieve nice BW pictures .

but play with camera is too nice
