Occurs after the first frost hits and is a period where temperatures exceed +20 degrees basically summer temps after dropping below 0. From last years Indian summer a Monarch Butterfly (Danaus plexippus) Cooper Marsh Conservation Area, Lancaster, Ontario, Canada. Conservation Status: imperiled (S2N,S4B) in Ontario, CA (NatureServe). Taken on October 20, 2019 of last year.

We had 24°C today. Still very hot and dry. Too dry for mushrooms. And insects become less and less. But we should get some rain the next days. We really need it. The forestbis so dry, that I'm afraid of the trees.
