Issus coleoptratus

Hi Forum,

this is my first picture post here, so I hope. I am doing everything right and you enjoy the pics.
now its time to find the bizarre nymphs of the issid type cicada Issus coelopterus.
Don´t they look like an armour plated alein mount out tof the star wars universe? They even seem to have rocket drive
Taken with Sony A7RIV, LAowa 100mm 2:1 at F11, 1/250s; ISO 250 with diffused flash.

Very nice. I agree that the first is the most impressive.
How is your experience with the Laowa lens? I was thinking of getting one, but having to focus and then manually close the diaphragm does not sound very enticing to me... No problem with manual focus and manual exposure, but the manual diaphragm reminds me of the pre-set objectives of the 70s... which I did not like!

I love this lens and I do not care about the manual diaphragma. Thanks to the EVF, my SonyRIV shows me the scene as it will look like on the final pic.
So if I choose the correct flash settings, it will appear bright and clear on the veiwfinder independent from if I choose F2.8 or F16.
