Probably the place I frequent the most is the Jack Pine Trail, part of Ottawa's green belt, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Red-breasted Nuthatch (Sitta canadensis), this photo was my first published in a Canadian magasine: Canadian Geographic. It was also chosen for the short list of Best Wildlife Photo of 2019.

Home to many feather friends the Jack Pine Trail is a popular nature getaway from the city. Rose-breasted Grosbeak (Pheucticus ludovicianus) Jack Pine Trail, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Still visiting the Jack Pine Trail during the pandemic it seems everyone has the same idea and the crowds of people are just a nuisance. But sometimes you get a quiet moment to see some nature. Eastern Chipmunk (Tamias striatus) Jack Pine Trail, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Taken on July 12, 2020.
