Subject: Oak lacebug (Corythuca arcuata) The insect was alive, so I needed to repeat all work until it stopped to move.
Camera: Canon EOS 7D
Lens: Canon MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x, magnification: 3x
Wemacro Rail., controlled with Wemacro application and DSLR Assistant (two cables connected to camera, the remote cable connects camera and the rail system, the second cable USB, connects camera and the computer, to control exposition and the LifeView).
50 Stacks, 15um step distance, 1 mm total distance.
Speed = 1/60; ƒ = 2.8.

Wow! Such a result for a 3x magnification out in the field! Very good!

I'm very interested in your setup as I've read a lot of the WeMacro Rail and I would like to use it outdoor as well. What about the battery pack?
Maybe you can upload a picture next time you use it?

I would like to use it for slime molds as I'm actually limited with my possibilities.
