Hi guys,
you know that I'm a big fan of slime moulds and other small things but I noticed, that I'm sometimes at the limit with my possibilities.
Until now I'm using the Canon EF-S 60mm lens with the Raynox MSN-505, but I'm more and more disappointed about the circular blurry areas around the center.
Here's an example:
It's not caused by diffraction blur but because of the lens / combination itself. I tested different apertures with the same result.
I know about the formular aperture+1 * magnification to calculate the real aperture for higher magnifications but this is not the problem.
Is there someone of you who uses this combination with an additional 12V DC battery pack?
What are the results? Not sure if the costs is worth it and if it works outside in the forest.
What are you experiences about this?
