Thanks jhanx! Very beautiful with the Buddha in the background. I've also a lavender field near my hometown. About 20 km away. One of the very few lavender fields in Germany and I'm excited to visited it again this year. It's well known in the meantime and a lot of people comes to this place to take selfies or for portrait shooting. Unfortunately they are walking through the fields and destroy them.

This one was taken last year:

Helix_2648 , wow nice shot! esp. the sunset. lavenders are really relaxing to look at, and I love the smell! It is nice that there is a field near you, but that's unfortunate it gets destroyed. Here, you can only walk on designated areas. going out of the way, and you'll be reprimanded

Awesome images jhanx , especially first one, that's something new which I never seen before. would be great to see more pictures from japan. By the way, can you please post an image per thread, so will be easier for other to comment each image
