I suspect this is a "Mealybug Destroyer", a type of ladybug larva, but I am not 100% sure. It was hanging around a bunch of aphids. Maybe just a couple millimetres long.

That's a strange guy! I've never seen something similar before. Looks a bit like cotton balls on its back. The light, details and sharpness are immaculate!

Been poking around some more, I don't think it's Mealybug Destroyer, but it is a Scymnus spp. ladybug (related to Mealybug Destroyer). The stuff on it's back is sort of a waxy substance. I accidentally bumped one when taking this photo and the stuff rubbed off. Maybe it tastes bad to predators, who knows.
