But some blessings and discoveries were made for some of us to help one survive it. I would like you to share your favourite photo capture of the year 2020 with a short explanation as to why you chose it.

Just to start off. My favourite discovery of 2020 and capture: Jelly Drops Fungus (Ascocoryne cylichnium) Alleyn-et-Cawood, Québec, Canada. I went for a day trip in Western Quebec and was surprised to find so many new and different mushrooms in a small patch of woods in September. These Jelly Drops were so very small and brightly coloured that it was a sheer joy to discover them. Taken on September 12, 2020.

not the best photo, but one thing I discovered this year: that scorpions are really good at climbing. this one was just on a bush, but I found one climbing up a tree and that was really unnerving. I couldn't take a picture of that one as it quickly hid between the branches and leaves.

My favourite photo of 2020 is my first peacock jumping spider photo. The plumed peacock jumping spider - Maratus Plumosus. There is quite a story that goes with these photos but i will expand on that in my own post. These were posted here previously:

But the shot that confirms its species and i did not post is this..

DSC02129.jpg This sighting is now a confirmed, research level sighting of this species recorded in iNaturalist.org.
