Hi I’m looking a good flash to compliment my Olympus EM1 MkIII, I’m currently using the Olympus FL-LM3 I don’t want to pay a fortune though any advice gratefully received. Thanks very much.

Hi N nigebrown2510

I know what you are saying, camera flashes can be expensive. paid for mine around £800 and to be honest haven't used much.

Anyway. I'm not Olympus user, however I just checked and seems this one should do the job for you

Also , are you trying to build a diffuser ?

Personally if I was using the Olympus EM1 Mk III, and wanted a macro flash I would look no further than the Olympus STF-8 Macro twin lite set up. It is weather proof, dust proof and you will have no issues with TTL metering as they are both Olympus.

Hi N nigebrown2510, I'm not an Olympus user as well but I know AK Diffuser (check Facebook for more details if needed) and he uses a Godox V350O. I guess it's worth a try.

Maybe you can check it or contact him directly on FB. He has a great diffuser as well. Got a sample from him and I'm really more than satisfied!

Hi, this is what I'm using on my Olympus EM1 MkII, with DIY diffuser.

I think the godox v860iii-o is better choice. The stf8 has the limit of 1/250 sync speed.

The godox v860iii o is a good choice. I personally use the Godox v350o on my Olympus camera, and couldent be more happy.
Recently i adapted an internal LED light for poor light focusing condition, using a 2$ flash light.
Here are som pics. showing what i've done.
