great photograph. The species adequately captured. Was wondering what would happen if the small twig on the right is removed in post?

Good observation Shan I have considered this a few times and come to the conclusion that it helps to balance the image.
It will be interesting to see what other members say.

It's not the twig that bothers me but the framing, your photo is technically good, but I find that your dragonfly is oppressed, it's still a nice photo
