I like this picture so much but it's very hard to edit because it's too bright. I've tried to edit it but the results are not satisfying. Could anyone help to make the colour softer? Thanks.

Note:
I can't send the original image because my card reader is spoiled. This image transferred by WiFi from camera to my tablet, that's why the size is small. Unfortunately. šŸ™

Hello lovitazoe lovitazoe , I will give a try once I get back home. There needed some shadow to increase and a bit of exposure in my opinion.

The quality isn't bad at all. I would maybe increase the exposure on the wings and reduce the vibrancy a bit. Maybe I can give it a try but I'm actually working on a mushroom calendar and have limited time for other photo editing.

What kind of calendar you are working on? I would be happy to see it šŸ˜Š

do you shoot RAW? if so, I guess you could get a better result from it.
do you have any Film Simulation active? it looks like a simulation of slides, maybe Velvia?

my idea is similar to what Helix_2648 Helix_2648 suggested, so I brought up the shadows, reduced brightness and saturation in the greens and reduced the overall contrast and saturation.

This results looks much better in my opinion. Better lighting and colour as well.
