It begins in 1928, when agronomist Ferdinand Larose established the first conifer planting on abandoned farmlands near Bourget. Since then, it has turned into a site of the most interesting woodlands of the Ottawa Valley. 10,944.7-hectare (27,045-acre) forest, part of the 71,100,000 hectares (176,000,000 acres) of forest in Ontario. Home to the rare Ghost Tiger Beetle (Ellipsoptera lepida) Larose Forest, Limoges, Ontario, Canada. Conservation Status: imperiled (N2N3) in Canada (NatureServe).

Is good that Canadian government decided to make that area protected, that way we can help maintain the nature and keep all animals and insects safe from people who wants to harm them. By the way, love the butterfly photo
