falling drops are sooo hard to shoot; this one is a bit out of focus; the green of the leaf - really love it!

A rain drop means grey sky which means less light and high shutter speed... this is what it makes so difficult to take such shots!
Your tries looks very good but might be improved with an external ambient light or a flash to get more light and shorter shutter times.

You are correct. It is difficult without extra light. Better prepared next time
