I'm pretty OK with diffraction here at these distance-to-subject ratios (not extreme macro). Yes there is definitely diffraction at F32 on the Irix 150mm/f2.8 - one does not break the laws of physics - but in some situations the trade-off between increased DOF and less diffraction pays off. I shot a few aperture brackets and I'm not at all dissatisfied.
