That’s not really in focus Greg Shchepanek Greg Shchepanek . I’m assuming you can’t use a tripod because of camera , and maybe lens. And the subject was above you. But you could do better on this photo ;)

I've to agree to Jack Jack. Set the focus on the tip of the catkin and increase the distance a bit to get all three in focus.
f/3.5 or f/4 is too narrow for this. You cannot handle those situations without using at least f/5.6 or f/8. Maybe try to use ISO200 or ISO400 if you really don't want to use a tripod.
