I took a photo of my monitor (108ppi) with my phone Xiaomi Mi note 10 and those are white pixels.
The image is cropped so it can fit the 5MB limit.
You can see that the subpixels (red green and blue) are each composed of around 140 dots that i assume are the liquid crystals?
So each subpixel is composed by 140 liquid crystals?
I couldn't find anything online so if you got a clue please comment ;)

I'm not sure about how many if each subpixel has 140 liquid crystals, but might be. Have you checked on Google or manufacture book?

I found a bit hard to look at this picture.

Do you know those optical illusion pictures? This picture reminds a bit to this. I agree to Jack Jack that you become a bit crazy if you look to long to it although the idea behind is very interesting. Unfortunately I'm not a big help regarding the technical details behind those pixels.

Also reminds me about those TV from 80-90 when the channel didn't worked, they had some weird photo showing. šŸ˜
