The Coleoptera, with about 400,000 species, is the largest of all orders, constituting almost 40% of described insects and 25% of all known animal life-forms; new species are discovered frequently.
Will first feature Blister/Oil Beetles:
Oil beetles exude an oily substance from the joints of the legs when disturbed, this substance can raise blisters on one's skin.

But my most favourite of all is the Tiger Beetle.
Tiger beetles are a large group of beetles known for their aggressive predatory habits and running speed. The fastest species of tiger beetle can run at a speed of 9 km/h (5.6 mph), or about 53.87 body lengths per second.

Love before the winter comes: A happy couple of Winter Fireflies (Ellychnia corrusca) take some time on a leaf of an old logging road at Alleyn-et-Cawood, Québec, Canada.
