Good optics you meant lenses? and what do you mean by calculation, sorry bu personally never done extreme macro photography before , so just interesting

Yes, I mean lens. And for different magnification I use different objective lens, so I calculate the depth of field and step according to the numerical aperture of the objective. And of course very steady macro rig with minimum vibrations.

In my view that’s more professional level then just a hobby Microworld Explorer .
