Tried shooting something different then insects or flowers. Shot with sony a7rii and the samyang 35mm f/1.8 AF lens. Taken indoors in the evening on a tripod. Most images i took were not real sharp. These two are the only one that i kept out of 30 photos. Thought how difficult can it be to shoots some photos of small rocks, but i was wrong, is harder then it looks

iso100 - f/10 - 5 sec

iso100 - f/9 - 2 sec

I am doing ok here. Tried using the macro lens for the shots but did not work out as i wanted, photos not sharp. Tried with the samyang lens and was a bit better but still a lot of room for improvement. Now looking into buying a smaller tripod and having a look in either buying a small table studio or making one myself.

Nice results! It's like documentary photos. But, what is that the round white spot on the left (1st pic) and the grey spot on the right (2nd pic) ? Could it be your camera lens is dirty or some lighting issue?

The rocks are lying on a sheet of A4 paper and there were some small spots of dirt on it that i did not see when i took the photos.
Both spots that you see are the result of me not paying enough attention when trying to remove the spots in the photo. So no dirt on the lens, just a case of a not completely clean sheet of paper.

Nice work! Good lighting, lots of nice textures. Sharpness and colours look good. The white background suits the subject. Well done

they look like hyper realistic drawings, I think the lighting that was done was a good choice! keep it up.
