Your opinion? Wasp or Hornet

Not sure what type of wasp (or Hornet) this is but a lovely creature non the less. Usually quit placid if you treat them with respect.

Great shot Andy, this is what i find here and they are similar in shape, only the colours are difrent.

I think it's a banded paper wasp but still not 100% certain on that

This one is a wasp, but do not know the exact name. I use an image search on google for the unknown insects. You can try it.

Thanks rjalil, I use Google also, along with a few other bug identifying sites but I cannot seem to find an exact fit for this wasp, the closest is a paper wasp from the family Polistes
