What are you expectations for the month? Autumn will be in all its glory with colours and cold.
Our main thing in Canada is Thanksgiving which falls differently the our Southern American friends who don't have theirs until November.
My big thing I look forward to is visiting Algonquin Provincial Park for the leaves changing.

It is a huge park in south-central Ontario ... no light pollution
