In Europe at the end of winter or early spring, in our richer forests and in the forests of country estates, entire soil surfaces are often covered with the Wood Anemone. The white flowers are so close together that you might think there are still patches of snow in the forest. The flowers are all separate on a stem with three leaves. And it seems that they all focus on the sun to receive as much spring heat as possible.
