Your opinion? Xmas Caterpillar

With December just around the corner maybe the green trees against a reddish backdrop made me start thinking of the holiday season coming up. Whichever subliminal messages I got, I tried to evoke a christmassy feel to the final image..
Did I succeed at all or get close to succeeding..?

You did! The caterpillar looks like an ornament on the Christmas Tree and the background indeed gives a warmth vibe of Christmas.

It does have a Christmas feel, well done! Nice colours and sharpness, well composed. That is an interesting caterpillar. I have 2 suggestions that may add to it, a single shiny bauble somewhere in the background out of focus and in bokeh or some led string lights to give you nice bokeh light balls in background, completely unecessary but I thought they might give your image a nice touch. Cool concept, I like it when I see people experiment, thanks for sharing
