This is a guide/tutorial to help members to understand better the art of macro or general photography.
Are you having trouble finding your subject? If yes then I have a solution that is quick and easy. First take a laser pointer or a small torch and shine it through the eye piece of your camera. It will shine the light through your lens and create a small spot of light. I use a black card to show me where the light is. I can now move my specimin into the light. This helps me to find my insect at x5 to x10. Its way better than shooting in the dark. A laser pointer is best as you can then focus the beam onto your background. The torch is also good and gets you to be able to see your insect in the veiwer.
