It's not a very good macro ring, I just joked a bit and showed that it can. But if you use a slightly shorter tube (up to 200mm), you can take a picture quite well. Of course, focusing is manual

I have never experienced that . A real photographer will use what he has in bag to achieve the impossible. Same as you in this picture.
