I need your opinion, which one is better for this photo of my snail, color or black and white?

This is an image of a snail. It was taken with Sony A7iii with 55-210mm lens with Raynox DCR-250 attached. I have used external flash with softbox diffuser. Hope you like it. :)

This snail was climbing vertically on a white plastic fence, I just decided to edit out all the dirt spots and was left with this. It kind of looks like it belongs in a children's science textbook.

I took this one early in the morning on a cloudy day, so there was little natural light. On a whim, I used the light on my phone to backlight the snail and was super excited with how it turned out.
