Yeah, I can pick up a new one here for around $2,000 which is about 1,500 pounds I think or just under, so a bit cheaper but still not what I would call cheap.

for me seems a bit cheaper, but also a lot depends of current salary in the country. £1500 still expensive honestly. Do they have the lens in stock over there ? I found a shop here that they don’t have it in stock, and was thinking that they trying to get rid of them to get new stock of new lenses from Canon.

Price fluctuates depending on exchange rates also. I believe most shops carry this lens in stock most of then time as it is popular

I was like thinking when Canon will stop producing or supporting 24-70 lens. As they already took serious about mirrorless, I guess that's matter of time until when they will stop supporting EF lenses.

I think it will be a long time before they stop supporting EF lenses, as they are still producing them and only a few people have changed over to mirrorless completely. Many people will continue to use both DSLR and mirrorless for a long time ahead yet I think.

Hope that's right, I meant, I still use my DSLR and o have M50 as a back up. And can use my EF lenses to my M50 through adapter which is great for me.
