Hi David Weemadbeasties! That's one of the introductions which I really like. Seems to be that you know your craft!

All your shown pictures are really very good. Perfect focus, soft light and very good colors. It looks a bit that you use a flash difusor, don't you? Is it a selfmade version?

Thank you so much for the nice comments on my pictures only been at it for three months, took it up(macro that is) to keep me sane during lockdown as I have parks close by, I did landscape previously.

I use a couple of different diffusers with some DIY modifications.

Welcome David Weemadbeasties to this platform and I hope you would enjoy your time here; this forum is really complete with loads of topics to discuss and debate on.
Your photos look really promising; I love the 2nd, and 5th one as they have a good composition; for the others unfortunately you don't have the insect in its entire form - it's cropped; and as for the ladybug: you have the negative space behind it but a quite full foreground in front of it which kinda blocks the view and takes away our attention from the insect. (but these are just small details very easy to correct).
So looking forward to discovering your photos.
