Calopteryx virgo

A photo that I was not expecting ... I had not taken my usual equipment.
During a family walk, I used my mirrorless with a telephoto lens for this photo of the insect at 3 meters

Looks great photo L Leraymurat . I have canon 70-300 lens too, but I found hard to keep focused on macro photography.
Yes, focusing is difficult especially on the mirrorless which has no optical viewfinder and on which the 70-300 is equivalent to a 190-810. It is for this reason that I am surprised to have a clear photo. I was lucky !

the colors the light, the shaprness, they are all well handled; congrats.
The only small detail that I could bring up to discussion would be the centered composition that is not in favour of your subject the dragonfly. But other than that, a realy thumb up!(y)

I have mirrorless camera, but I found a bit uncomfortable to use 70-300 on it. Also will make my camera heavy too.
but yes, I’m surprised with your photo here taken with telephoto lens.

Really surprising! The dragonfly is really very sharp and looks great in the sunlight. The colors on the exoskeleton looks awesome! Like a little queen presenting herself to her citizens! L Leraymurat
