I like the shallow depth of field in both shots, gives nice bokeh, sharpness looks good. Nice pattern on those flowers, well captured, nice job

I like the second image more than the first, which has a big hole between the two groups, leaving the eye wandering looking for the main subject. The second image is much more unified and interesting. I share your fascination with dead plants.
