Hi Paul Iddon Paul Iddon. I expected such pictures as I read your introduction and I was right! The focus is perfect as well as the sharpness. I'm personally not a friend of frames but it's a matter of taste. I would like to see some more space to the left for the first pictures from the caterpillar but apart from that your pictures are outstandig!

Thank you Helix for taking the time to reply.

I'm probably going to keep a little annoyed with frames - I use this as my way of distinguishing my images - I spent several hours perfecting the Photoshop action that adds the frame in seconds as I process each image.

I put the sharpness down to the manual lens I use - the LAOWA Venus 2:1 lens. It is amazingly sharp and gives wonderful clarity if the focus is where it should be and at a bargain price too. Being a manual only lens though, it takes A LOT of practice to get the best from it.

Thanks again for your generous comment.

Paul.

Thank you everyone. :)

Greg, this was photographed in my garden, yes. Only the 3rd one I have ever seen there.

Paul.
