Greg You are getting the same effects on the highlights I am seeing when I use my raynox. The highlights go soft and sparkly, if the highlight is on the eye of an insect it makes a bit of a mess. I will post my results using the Raynox for first week soon. Thanks for doing the test
But please take into account that you really needs a lot of light if you use such long extension tubes Greg. That's not the case if you use the Raynox lens!
Yes, but i really wanted to try all the equipment to see what will be the result. If I use extension tubes, it always moves, so tripod is obligate. I loose too much light too. If I use Raynox 250 I can be closer but the clarity zone is too tiny. When I use only lens, I got all the light and clarity zone is a it's best.
