Jack you chase them for 30 to 40 minutes and they will allow you. Hahha if you do it during the day is not easy I think is depend on how comfortable they feel. I took photos in the past so easy but this one my friend wasn't easy, o chased him and at the end he allowed me to.
have you tried with telephoto lens ?
I tried with the Canon 70-200 and the raynox but I was not happy with the weight and also with the quality.
I know , the weight of 70-200 it's bad. You need a monopod with that lens. But the quality is outstanding
Is not even close to the quality that I am getting, and also the liberty of been able to do handle. I personally prefer my macro setup.

. Btw, does quality is affected if raynox is attached on non macro lens ?
The quality decrease in any lens you attached the raynox to, but on a non macro lens you will see less quality.
