Focus stacking or single shot what do you choose ?

Here are two photos with different composition and taking method. The first is a single shot and the second one a handheld focus staking of 11 shots.

The stacked image gets my vote this time MinitecaPhotographie. It is not always the case but this time it is because of the extra detail showing in the stacked image.
