How to clean camera sensor

Hi. I have a small black spot on right left camera sensor, I want to clean it but I;m a bit scary as I don't want to damage it. What equipement should I buy to get rid of the black spot?

Hello Speth,

Have a look through the eyepiece, if you can the the spot then the dirt probably is on the front lens both sides, or eyepiece.

Also, one more thing, if the problem is too serious, the most likely you having a dead pixel, that's when a small part of the sensor spotted working, you could check this on google. You might check here: https://www.gdargaud.net/Hack/DeadPixels.html

I was cleaning my camera sensor with cotton ear buds. If you do this way , be careful, so you are not scratching the sensor.

I was using that method when I did no have the camera cleaning kit, and yes, you need to take extra care when cleaning the Sensor
