Hi, another one picture of ladybug, shootd 2 days ago...
How you like it?


ISO1000. f6.3.1.250s. Olympus 60mm Olympus omd em10markIII. ring tubs 2x mmlite , led ring macro flash.

Better than the other one, but try to capture it from beside or above. That would give you for sure a better result. But I like the light from the picture nataliaflejszar&Photo

To be honest, but the B&W version has (for me) no effect. The viewer's eyes has to search what you want to show him. I'm not sure if it's just a question of contrast, but the most beautiful from the ladybug is the red colour, isn't it? And this get's los in B&W.

If you want to work in B&W, simple desaturation is not enough, you have to desaturate with colors, then play with contrast and lights.
B&W is much more difficult than color



You have to draw the eye to the main subject, nothing should disturb the reading of your photo, a little in this style

True, create well looking BW isn't easy, some of pictures looks well with if is well done

@Christophe Berche your interpretaion is great for B&W. I know exactly - as a viewer of this picture - what you want to show me. B&W means contrasts and a play with lights and shadows.

''B&W means contrasts and a play with lights and shadows. '' good conception H Helix_2648 , and yes, true Lights, shadows. contast and shapnes, shades..- things that do good BW pictures editing... in Lr is two diffreds ways to create BW- monochrum and saturation ..
