Here are two shots made today of both male and female Macaroeris nidicolens. The male isn't adult yet. Handheld shot made with Olympus OM-D e-m10 mark iii, Laowa 50mm supermacro lens, flash Meike MK320 and homemade curved diffuser.

These are adorable! At first i used the scientific method of looking at how long their eyelashes were to workout which was the male and female and i thought for sure the second was the female but upon closer inspection I realised it was the other way around. That female has quite a colourful head which made it trickier, the male must get quite colourful too then around mating season. Love both of the shots, very sharp, great poses

In fact the male have pedipalpes looking like pompons. Pedipalpes are the two little legs under eyes.These are adorable!
