Your opinion? New born dragonfly

I saw this dragonfly which just came out of his cocoon that you can see beneath him. In this stage the dragonfly can not fly and has to wait untill the wings are dry.

Jack, i spotted this one in a pond nearby my hometown in the Netherlands. This is a common specie called Libellulidae i think.

To be honest I haven't tried yet to shoot insects, as I found it's complicate to keep them in focus and same time to be ready for shooting.

Jack, the best way is to focus manualy and if the insect is in focus make your picture.

Thanks, I might give it a try, I usually shoot flowers and other non moving subjects

Always handheld , as my lens has build in IS .
