I myself came back with this feeling after a short outing and a little disappointed with my photos.

My mind is also busy with other photographic projects in a completely different area than proximity photography

Maybe trying to take photo in Landscape position will fill that missing composition.

Wonderful photo! I agree about the landscape position which might give the picture a little "kick" but even so it's unique, wonderful and soft / delicate like a little dream.
